“說更好的英語，去更大的世界”之第二課堂紀(jì)實

八年級9班陳葛子萱

每周三下午17:00點，我校同學(xué)們歡呼雀躍地走進第二課堂。為了豐富第二課堂的國際元素，我校國際教育中心的中外教老師傾情推出英語口語和雅思聽力兩門特色課程。老師和同學(xué)的互動為第二課堂留下了哪些精彩的瞬間？

外教帶你大聲說——Oral English

英語口語（Oral English）課程由來自英國的Andrew老師，來自美國的Kevin老師，和來自印度的Rajesh老師聯(lián)袂授課，為我校同學(xué)創(chuàng)建了與外教溝通交流的平臺。難怪同學(xué)們都說，英語口語（Oral English）是最搶手的第二課堂之一。  

每周課上外教們提前告知同學(xué)們下周課程的主題(topic)，要求同學(xué)們作好課前準(zhǔn)備?；氐秸n堂的同學(xué)們有備而來，有的同學(xué)分享自己特地查詢的新詞匯，有的同學(xué)分享自己的經(jīng)歷和想法。圍繞某個主題分享，大家既能聽到有趣的故事，也能學(xué)到新的英文詞匯和表達，不知不覺，大家的英語口語有所進步，表現(xiàn)力得到提高，心態(tài)也更加積極和勇敢。

學(xué)生感受

    在一中新世界，可以體驗到萬里之外，不一樣的語言課堂。學(xué)習(xí)不一樣的語言，不僅僅是將自己母語的內(nèi)容翻譯過來，而是用地道外語的語言進行交流。這就不得不提到我現(xiàn)在在學(xué)的外教課堂。
第一堂外教課令我記憶猶新——My holiday，主題是“我的假期”，來到來自英國和印度的老師都分享了自己在假期里的有趣的事情，給我開啟了一個奇妙的世界。我們聽到非常地道的英語，了解到學(xué)習(xí)另一項語言的精髓，就是多聽多讀，課上，我們要將老師所說的話以及見解用中文，也就是母語的方式轉(zhuǎn)化過來。接著我們會有10到5分鐘的時間去準(zhǔn)備思考這個主題，然后分享。這個過程中又體現(xiàn)了說。
   在這種模式下，相信我們的英語水平會大大的提高，所以我的感受是對于語言這塊方面的學(xué)習(xí)，我們主要就是多聽多練多讀多練習(xí)。

    這個學(xué)期的第二課堂新增了一個Oral English的外教課，當(dāng)時我毫不猶豫地把這門課選為我的第一志愿，我很激動，但同時也感到可惜，因為我在報名時人已經(jīng)滿了。當(dāng)我被成功入選進Oral English時，我心里真的有種說不出的激動與愉悅，特別好奇who is our foreign teacher？他們會給我們帶來什么樣的歡樂？我們真的能與他們talk in English？我?guī)е闷孀哌M了meaningful課堂。

    當(dāng)全班同學(xué)沒有舉手的時候，我鼓足了勇氣站起來share my preparation，就這樣我抓到了與外教進行語言交流的機會！我覺得我在外教課上學(xué)到了different knowledge. For example, the class encourages me to be brave to meet something new in my life; The class can improve my oral language;我喜歡Oral English，因為它讓我踏進了一個不一樣的知識海洋，找到了不一樣的收獲喜悅，更加讓我充滿了自信！

   From the beginning of this semester, we have an oral English class every week, which is a part of our extracurricular activities. Half a semester has passed in a blink of an eye, and I have learned a lot of knowledge and made a lot of friends in the class.

    All teachers in our oral English class are really kind and enthusiastic. Andrew is an Englishman. He is a good listener, and he is always quick to find our mistakes and helps us correct them. Kevin is a Scottish . In our eyes, he is more a big child than a teacher. He always communicates and discusses some interesting questions with us, which makes us feel we are chatting with a good friend.

The topics we talked about in our classes were interesting. Normally, we have a topic in each class and we air our views around it. During this process, the teacher wrote down our grammar mistakes on the blackboard, so we could learn to correct them. When others shared their opinions, we could also learn something from each other. Once, the teacher gave us a topic -------‘my family’, and asked us to talk about it. I thought everyone would like to talk something about their family members and stories. Unexpectedly, a girl stood up and her answer surprised me. She did not use the sentence given by the teacher, but said, “I don’t know my family very well, because when I tried to talk to them, they were always busy playing their phones. In fact, I think they love their phones more than me”. She said she hoped that parents can spend more time communicating with their kids rather than wasting time on these electronic gadgets. The girl’s answer plunged me into deep thinking. I just couldn’t felt lucky that my parents always spare their time accompanying me. 

   Although the life in junior middle school is busy, I know we do need to find something relaxing and meaningful for us. The ‘oral English’ class is just such a wonderland.

這些文化背景你聽到了嗎——雅思聽力

雅思聽力課由國際教育中心的金帥老師講授，大家在金老師的課堂一起學(xué)習(xí)雅思詞匯，掌握基礎(chǔ)的語音知識。從利茲大學(xué)留學(xué)歸國的金老師現(xiàn)身說法，帶同學(xué)們走進英倫和留學(xué)生的世界，每當(dāng)老師分享海外的學(xué)習(xí)和生活經(jīng)驗，每當(dāng)看展示英國大學(xué)生宿舍的圖片、每當(dāng)講到英國有這么多的bank holiday的故事時，課堂上總能見到一雙雙興奮而好奇的大眼睛。

為避免同學(xué)們學(xué)習(xí)“啞巴英語”，老師鼓勵大家“聽背”單詞，在單詞接龍游戲、單詞猜謎比賽等活動中，同學(xué)們積極參與。

    In the listening class, we could learn many things about English. My teacher was in the university in UK. She told us something about herself in UK.

    It is very interesting in her class. She always tells us something interesting in many ways. Although the length of this class is very short, we could learn many things. We were relaxed in the class. My teacher told us many stories. Sometimes the words were difficult for us, but she tried her best to explain for us. We expect to have her class every Wednesday. Then, I think I will be better and better.

通過我們一起創(chuàng)建的英語口語（Oral English）和雅思聽力課堂，同學(xué)們明白了，英語要大聲說，同學(xué)們找到了，英語在文化中，文化在生活中。
